Bookkeeper/Accounts Administrator

Invidia Foods is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. This role supports the daily financial operations of the organisation, focusing on accurate record-keeping, timely reporting, and efficient transaction processing. You will work closely with the Head Accountant, contributing to the financial accuracy of the business and supporting continuous process improvements within accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable:
- Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly.
- Reconcile supplier statements and address discrepancies.
- Prepare and execute payment runs.
- Maintain supplier records and documentation.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Generate customer invoices and credit notes.
- Follow up on outstanding balances and assist with collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts regularly.
- Bank & General Ledger:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations as needed.
- Assist with general ledger entries and journal processing.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Payroll Support:
- Assist with payroll processing as required.
- Maintain employee records and payroll documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Assist with BAS, IAS, and other statutory reporting obligations.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Support external audit processes.
- Adhere to company policies and accounting standards.
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain organised accounting documentation and filing systems.
- Assist with finance-related projects and initiatives.
- Support ongoing improvements to financial processes.
- Provide administrative assistance to the finance team as needed.
Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Desirable
- Experience with ERP systems or accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero).
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting.
