Bridge Designer - Perth WA
Kellogg Brown & Root Pty Ltd (KBR) is seeking a skilled Bridge Designer to join our high-performing Structural team in Perth, WA. This is a full-time, hybrid role focused on delivering major bridge and transport infrastructure projects across Western Australia.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the WA Structural Discipline Manager, you will be an integral part of our Western Australian Structural Group. Your focus will be on supporting the design and delivery of transport infrastructure projects, with a primary emphasis on bridges. You will undertake advanced modelling and drafting work, contributing to both concept and detailed design phases. Collaboration with engineers and multi-disciplinary teams will be key to achieving high-quality project outcomes.
This is a senior, non-supervisory position where you will leverage your expertise to enhance design quality, efficiency, and coordination across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop structural models and drawings for bridge and transport infrastructure projects.
- Contribute to concept and detailed design delivery.
- Apply advanced techniques in computer-aided design and modelling.
- Coordinate with engineers and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Assist in delivering complex, multi-discipline projects.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure outputs meet time, cost, and quality expectations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in drafting standards and practices.
About You:
You are an experienced and detail-focused Structural Modeller/Drafter with significant infrastructure project exposure, particularly within transport and bridges.
- 7+ years’ experience in structural drafting/modelling, ideally on MRWA bridge and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in tools such as MicroStation, OpenBuildings, Revit, or AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and industry drafting practices.
- Experience supporting complex, multi-disciplinary design projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver quality outcomes.
