BCA Engineers is seeking a motivated Engineer to join our expanding team in Adelaide. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver quality engineering solutions across diverse market sectors, working with and leading project engineering teams.

BCA Engineers is a national, full-service engineering firm with offices in Adelaide, Darwin, and Melbourne, recognised for providing outstanding building services engineering to clients in education, healthcare, industrial, corporate, retail, hospitality, cultural, sports & recreation, and local/state government sectors.

Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 + Super per year Work Type: Full-time Location: Adelaide SA (Onsite) Reporting To: Company Directors Ideal Start Date: Not specified Office Expectations: Majority of work is office-based in our modern Adelaide CBD office. Occasional travel will be required.

Skills and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Senior engineers are encouraged to apply; salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
• Recognition as a Member of Engineers Australia and eligibility for registration as a CPEng. BCA Engineers will provide a career pathway for this under the direction of experienced professionals.
• A resourceful team player with strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work within project budgets and schedules.
• A sound engineering background, demonstrating experience in modelling, calculations, system selection, sizing, and application of Australian standards.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience in Quality Assurances concerning relevant Codes and Australian Standards.
• Experience managing a variety of projects and leading teams simultaneously.
• A very high standard of organisation and inter-personal communication skills are essential.
• Complete proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work day-to-day in a busy office environment.
• Australian Driver’s License.
• Must hold a work visa or be a resident/authorised to work in Australia.

Responsibilities:

• Operate as a design manager / project manager on various projects.
• Participate in aspects of business administration, finance, and marketing.
• Report to and provide contributions to Company Directors regarding various business aspects and strategic inputs.
• Seek and develop new project opportunities in tandem with Company Directors and senior personnel.
• Provide technical inputs at a level that positively differentiates BCA Engineers from competitors.
• Conduct site surveys to assess, evaluate, and document existing conditions.
• Complete material research and compile project data.
• Understand the NCC, Australian Standards, and all other code requirements relative to electrical services, including local authority requirements.
• Prepare concept plans, detailed designs, and building services plans to suit project requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications as required.
• Communicate and coordinate work with project teams, consultants, and clients.
• Undertake construction administration responsibilities.
