About the Role As the Building Services Systems Coordinator, you will be responsible for the performance, compliance, and ongoing improvement of critical building and environmental systems within our TGA-regulated GMP-rated processing centre. Working closely with the Building Services Manager and as part of the Building Services Team, you will maintain our critical operations. This includes managing building management and control systems for building infrastructure such as refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems, alongside monitoring systems, to ensure they operate safely, efficiently, and adhere to strict regulatory standards. Additionally, you will oversee our security systems, including access control and CCTV, as part of our regulatory obligations.
This is a hands-on, technical position suitable for individuals with an engineering, trades, or automation background who enjoy problem-solving, optimising systems, and working within a highly regulated, quality-focused environment. Your responsibilities will also extend to managing service contracts, supporting system upgrades and commissioning, and contributing to long-term asset planning.
What We're Looking For
- An engineering qualification or a trade background in electrical, mechanical, automation, or systems disciplines.
- Experience working with building management, environmental monitoring, or facility systems (BMS, EMS, Security, or similar).
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across complex systems and plant.
- Experience managing contractors or service providers and reviewing their performance.
- Understanding of compliance-driven environments, such as manufacturing, healthcare, or GMP, is highly regarded.
- Ability to analyse system data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams.
This is a full-time role of 38 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, with flexible hours. Participation in an on-call roster and occasional after-hours or weekend work for projects and maintenance may be required.
