About the Role

We are recruiting a Business Services Senior Manager to lead and expand the business services and corporate advisory division from our Fortitude Valley office. This is a significant leadership position offering substantial ownership. The role involves managing a portfolio of key client relationships, leading both onshore and offshore delivery teams, and being accountable for the division's growth, quality, and profitability. It integrates strategic responsibilities with hands-on engagement in critical client work, designed for someone seeking both aspects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead onshore and offshore advisors and consultants, including coaching, mentoring, workflow management, and performance oversight.
• Own the growth strategy and revenue targets for the business services division, and ensure their achievement.
• Manage and nurture key client relationships, focusing on retention and lifetime value.
• Oversee the delivery of corporate advisory, business strategy, vCFO, and business improvement engagements for a varied client base.
• Scope and propose new advisory services to existing and prospective clients, and develop the related proposals.
• Manage the division's financial performance, including work-in-progress, budgets, margins, and profitability.
• Elevate the quality standards for advisory work and ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to align the division with the firm's overall strategic direction.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes, technical advancements, and industry trends.

What We're Looking For

• CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent), with a tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in business advisory, corporate consulting, or business services within a professional services firm.
• Proven experience in leading and developing professional teams.
• The ability to provide tax advisory services to clients is essential.
• Some hands-on experience with business valuations.
• Some hands-on experience with vCFO or business advisory.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in your work and a proactive approach to leveraging AI for enhanced outcomes. This is a mandatory requirement.

Highly Preferred

• International tax experience is highly valued; training can be provided for the right candidate.
• Experience with R&D tax incentives.
• Experience leading offshore or distributed delivery teams.
• Strong commercial acumen, with an understanding of client profit drivers beyond accounting figures.
