Business Services & Tax Manager | Path to Partner in 2–3 Years | Ballarat
Ryan and Co Accountants is seeking a Business Services & Tax Manager for a full-time, onsite role in Ballarat. This position offers a salary package of $140,000 – $170,000 per year, with a clear pathway to equity ownership within 2–3 years.

This is a senior, client-facing Manager role with a defined trajectory towards equity ownership within 2–3 years. The successful candidate will manage a growing portfolio of SME, family business, and privately-owned clients, mentor a team, and collaborate with the Director to foster firm growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead advisory discussions to translate financial data into actionable client strategies.
- Pursue and secure new business opportunities, supported by dedicated BD resources and a defined target market.
- Review compliance work and enhance the quality of output across the team.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the skills of accountants and senior accountants.
- Champion the firm's technology stack, including Xero, FYI, Ignition, FuseSign, Fathom, Reach, Castaway, Sentrient, and Microsoft 365/Copilot.
Required Qualifications:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Australian public practice.
- A strong foundation in tax and business services, coupled with a genuine interest in advisory services.
- An outgoing, people-focused demeanour.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a clear commitment to business development.
