Austal Defence Australia (ADA) is seeking a C4I Engineer to shape and deliver integrated command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence solutions for Defence shipbuilding platforms. This role offers exposure to navigation, combat management, and weapons systems. You will be instrumental in integrating specialised equipment from expert vendors, ensuring seamless operation across vessels. Collaboration with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and their integration partners is key, as you coordinate between suppliers and shipyard design, project, and production teams to achieve fully integrated systems.

What's Involved:
- Liaise with specialist C4I suppliers to coordinate equipment integration on an existing mature platform design.
- Assess, communicate, and manage the impacts of design changes to the platform.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline engineering teams to minimise integration impacts.
- Develop and manage Engineering Change Proposals through the change management process.
- Lead and support C4I team activities, including task allocation and oversight of direct reports.
- Produce and maintain C4I integration documentation across spatial, electrical, mechanical, and structural interfaces.
- Prepare and review key technical documents (TS, SD, SoW) and support V&V activities.
- Support procurement reviews, maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), and assist production, testing, and Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting activities.
You'll Need:
- A degree in electronics, design, or manufacture.
- C4I integration experience on Defence Platforms.
- 5+ years of experience in C4I equipment and systems integration.
- C4I specific Engineering, Design, and Integration experience.
- Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance.
