About Kubirri Aged Care Centre: Located in Mossman, QLD, Kubirri Aged Care Centre features 42 rooms, offering a tranquil setting by the Mossman River with views of open farmlands, yet is conveniently close to the town centre, hospital, and local attractions. The centre is designed for aged care in the tropics, promoting a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes residents feel at home, preserves privacy, and maintains connections. It also incorporates sustainable design to minimise environmental impact.

About the Role: As a Chaplain, you will foster community, belonging, and spiritual enrichment for residents, families, and staff at Kubirri Aged Care Centre. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing spiritual, pastoral, and emotional support to residents, families, and staff.
• Leading chapel services, spiritual/reminiscence groups, and memorial services.
• Offering prayer and pastoral care to help residents find meaning, purpose, and connection.
• Serving as an integral member of the leadership team, supporting the Centre Manager and contributing to decision-making.
• Representing the centre at Salvation Army Local leadership gatherings and offering care in line with The Salvation Army's mission.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A strong commitment to the Christian faith and The Salvation Army's mission.
• The ability to offer prayer and pastoral care with compassion and sensitivity.
• Experience in leading chapel services and conducting funerals/memorial services.
• A solid understanding of chaplaincy principles and practices, particularly in aged care.
• A Diploma of Chaplaincy or a willingness to obtain one within two years, funded by The Salvation Army.
• Be a uniformed Salvationist or a committed Christian active in their church with a heart for serving others.
• The ability to wear a recognisable Salvation Army uniform and represent the organisation with integrity.
• A current driver's license and a reliable registered vehicle.
• An essential letter of reference from your minister/pastor or Officer.
