Aurecon is seeking a Civil Engineer, Water to join their team in Perth WA. This is a full-time, onsite position offering competitive remuneration.

Your Role:

As a Civil Engineer, Water within our Transport, Water, Environment and Land team in Perth, you will contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference. You will be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineers solutions with people and outcomes in mind.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, design, and coordination of piping systems for water and wastewater, pump stations, water distribution networks, and treatment plants.
  • Ability to understand or provide input to the development of hydraulics and water balance to inform decisions.
  • Civil design of infrastructure including earthworks, concrete structures, access roads, and drainage systems.
  • Preparation of detailed drawings, models, and specifications using design tools such as Water Gems, Sewer GEMS, Civil 3D, 12D, Open Plant, AutoCAD, QGIS, Microstation.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., mechanical, process, electrical, structural) to ensure integrated and constructible designs.
  • Technical input during planning and feasibility stages, including constructability reviews, material selection, and cost estimates.
  • Support during tender and construction phases, including site inspections, responding to queries, and ensuring designs are implemented correctly.
  • Work within study and project teams to meet scope requirements and ensure time and budget objectives are achieved.
  • Engage and build positive relationships with existing and potential clients and stakeholders, support business development and tenders to win and deliver work for Aurecon.
  • Produce input to written reports, documents, and presentations to explain engineering ideas and concepts.

What You Will Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience working in a consultancy environment, with a strong understanding of project delivery, client interaction, and commercial awareness.
  • Experience coordinating with services and utilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement in design practices.
  • Familiarity with 3D model space design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey civil engineering outcomes with suitable language that can be understood by clients, stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Solid time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders, and produce quality reports.
  • Desire to contribute, grow, and develop the capability and experience of the water team whilst progressing your own career development.
