Civil Engineer, Water Aurecon Perth WA Full-time, Onsite Competitive remuneration

Aurecon is seeking a Civil Engineer, Water to join our Transport, Water, Environment and Land team in Perth. What you will do:

• Plan, design, and coordinate piping systems for water and wastewater, pump stations, water distribution networks, and treatment plants.
• Understand or provide input to the development of hydraulics and water balance to inform decisions.
• Undertake civil design for infrastructure, including earthworks, concrete structures, access roads, and drainage systems.
• Prepare detailed drawings, models, and specifications using design tools such as Water Gems, Sewer GEMS, Civil 3D, 12D, Open Plant, AutoCAD, QGIS, and Microstation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., mechanical, process, electrical, structural) to ensure integrated and constructible designs.
• Provide technical input during planning and feasibility stages, including constructability reviews, material selection, and cost estimates.
• Offer support during the tender and construction phases, which may include site inspections, responding to queries, and ensuring correct implementation of designs.
• Work within study and project teams to meet scope requirements and achieve time and budget objectives.
• Engage with and build positive relationships with existing and potential clients and stakeholders, supporting business development and tenders to secure and deliver work for Aurecon.
• Produce input for written reports, documents, and presentations to explain engineering ideas and concepts.

What you will bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Experience working in a consultancy environment, with a strong understanding of project delivery, client interaction, and commercial awareness.
• Experience coordinating with services and utilities.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement in design practices.
• Familiarity with 3D model space design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying civil engineering outcomes in language understandable to clients, stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines.
• Solid time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders, producing quality reports.
• A desire to contribute to, grow, and develop the capability and experience of the water team, whilst progressing your own career development.
