Civil Site Engineer (Contract Role) - Engi Advisory
Engi Advisory is seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer for a contract position anticipated to last between 3 to 6 months. This role is located onsite in Sydney, NSW.
This position presents a significant opportunity to contribute to major civil engineering projects. The Civil Site Engineer will be instrumental in ensuring projects meet high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency on site. This role is essential for bridging the gap between design and construction, translating engineering plans into successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and oversee all construction activities to ensure alignment with engineering designs, specifications, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on progress, quality control, and safety measures.
- Facilitate communication between the design team, contractors, and stakeholders to address technical issues.
- Manage site documentation, including daily diaries, test records, material certificates, and quality assurance reports.
- Supervise the testing and inspection of materials, concrete pours, structural elements, and other critical components.
- Ensure adherence to relevant building codes, standards, environmental regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Identify and report any deviations from design specifications, outlining risks and proposing corrective actions.
- Support project scheduling and coordinate site activities to meet programme deadlines.
- Assist with budget tracking and cost control throughout the construction phases.
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a site engineer or in a comparable on-site construction role.
- Demonstrated experience managing site inspections, testing protocols, and quality assurance processes.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering practices, building codes, and Australian Standards.
- Proficiency with site documentation software and project management tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various teams.
- Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
- Current NSW engineering qualifications or membership with a recognised professional body is desirable.
- Experience with structural monitoring, road and transport infrastructure, or utilities projects is advantageous.
- A valid driver's licence and a willingness to travel to different project sites.
