Role Overview: This is an administrative position suitable for an individual with a meticulous attention to detail and a strong emphasis on accuracy. Operating within a deadline-driven environment, you will collaborate closely with managers across our NDIS service sites in regional Victoria and South Australia to ensure claims adhere to NDIS compliance standards. Based at our Shepparton office, this role is integral to supporting NDIS participants.

Demonstrated Abilities: The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar or related role.

Essential Skills and Attributes: While full training will be provided to equip you with the knowledge and skills required to become a Claims Officer, certain attributes are beneficial for this role:

  • Resilience, with the ability to set aside challenges and maintain forward momentum when plans do not unfold as expected.
  • A high level of knowledge and understanding of the compliance requirements of the Employment Services Deed - DES and jobactive, including evidence supporting claims, placements, and outcomes (highly desirable but not essential).
  • Solid administration skills, computer literacy, and a strong attention to detail. This role is 90% administration.
  • Innovative thinking and the ability to engage with local employers to create job opportunities that might not otherwise exist.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to analyse and report data, and to collaborate with relevant staff to achieve program objectives.
  • A high level of professionalism in organising work and time management, with the ability to prioritise tasks and exercise initiative and creativity in achieving desired outcomes.
  • Strong people skills, enabling effective communication with a diverse range of staff and client groups.
