Due to continued growth, Ringrose Button is seeking an experienced Client Manager/Senior Accountant. This role involves taking ownership of an established client portfolio and serving as a trusted advisor and key point of contact. It is a senior, highly autonomous position suited to an individual who enjoys building strong client relationships, providing strategic advice, and delivering quality accounting and taxation outcomes.
The role will involve working with a broad range of business and primary production clients, managing their accounting, taxation, and advisory requirements, and proactively identifying opportunities to add value. Flexibility in location and working arrangements is offered. While a full-time employee is preferred, permanent part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. A requirement to spend approximately one week in Longreach each quarter will apply, with travel and accommodation expenses covered by Ringrose Button.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of business and primary production clients.
- Act as the primary relationship manager and trusted advisor.
- Prepare and review complex financial statements and income tax returns.
- Deliver proactive tax planning and strategic business advice.
- Manage multi-entity structures, including companies, trusts, and individuals.
- Provide advice regarding small business taxation and capital gains tax matters.
- Prepare and review Fringe Benefits Tax returns and related reporting.
- Review work to a high technical standard, ready for Partner sign-off.
- Conduct client meetings and maintain ongoing relationships.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Utilise technology, automation, and AI tools to improve client outcomes.
About You:
- CPA or CA Qualified (or nearing completion).
- Minimum 6 years' public practice accounting experience.
- Strong technical taxation and business advisory capability.
- Experience managing your own client portfolio.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Positive, professional, and client-focused approach.

- Primary production and agribusiness clients.

- Farm management deposits and primary production taxation.
