Clinical / Comprehensive Assessor – McArthur

McArthur is seeking experienced Comprehensive/Clinical Assessors for locum positions with a leading organisation affiliated with a prominent Melbourne healthcare provider. This organisation delivers high-quality assessment services to older adults, aiming to support their independence and enhance their quality of life.

About the Organisation The organisation, based in Caulfield, specialises in aged care assessment services. They collaborate with clients, families, carers, and service providers to ensure individuals receive appropriate support services promptly through comprehensive in-home assessments and ongoing reviews.

The Role This position involves conducting autonomous, person-centred assessments to identify the care and support older Australians require to live safely and independently at home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake timely, holistic assessments focused on improving independence and quality of life.
• Engage with families, carers, and service providers as integral stakeholders in the assessment process.
• Manage assessment schedules to comply with Department of Health timelines and quality standards.
• Maintain precise documentation and reporting.

*Note: This role requires travel within the inner southern metropolitan region.*

Requirements:

• Current Comprehensive Assessor certification.
• Recent experience as a Clinical / Comprehensive Assessor within the Single Assessment Service.
• Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Allied Health, or Social Work.
• Proficient knowledge of aged care legislation, CHSP, and Support at Home.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• A valid Australian driver's licence and a fully insured vehicle.
• Availability for a minimum of three days per week.
