Clinical / Comprehensive Assessor McArthur is seeking experienced Comprehensive/Clinical Assessors for locum assignments with a leading organisation connected to a prominent Melbourne healthcare provider. This organisation specialises in delivering high-quality assessment services to older adults, aiming to foster independence and enhance their quality of life.

About the Organisation The organisation, based in Parkville, provides aged care assessment services. They collaborate with clients, families, carers, and service providers to ensure individuals receive appropriate support services by conducting comprehensive in-home assessments and reviews.

Key Aspects of the Role The role involves conducting autonomous, person-centred assessments to identify the care and support older Australians require to maintain safe and independent living at home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake timely, holistic assessments that aim to improve independence and quality of life.
• Engage with families, carers, and service providers as integral stakeholders in the assessment process.
• Manage assessment schedules to align with Department of Health timelines and quality standards.
• Maintain precise documentation and reporting.

Note: This role requires travel within the northern/north-western metropolitan region.

What is Required:

• Completion of Comprehensive Assessor certification.
• Recent experience as a Clinical / Comprehensive Assessor within the Single Assessment Service.
• A tertiary qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Allied Health, or Social Work.
• A strong understanding of aged care legislation, CHSP, and Support at Home.
• Proficient communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• A valid Australian driver’s licence and a fully insured vehicle.
• Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week.

Benefits and Conditions:

• Salary: $69 - $70 per hour, plus 12% superannuation and a travel allowance.
• Work Type: Contract.
