Huntd Recruit Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Trust Accountant/Administrator for a respected commercial real estate agency located in Brisbane's Southside. This full-time, onsite role involves overseeing trust accounting, reconciliations, and compliance, while supporting a growing commercial property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and reconcile trust accounts in accordance with relevant legislation and industry regulations.
- Process financial transactions, receipts, and disbursements accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain detailed financial records, ledgers, and statements.
- Liaise with clients, legal representatives, and third parties regarding payment matters and trust account queries.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure all trust funds are accounted for correctly.
- Prepare trust account reports and financial documentation as required.
- Assist with general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and record management.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to trust account management.
- Support the broader accounting and administrative team to maintain operational efficiency.
- Manage annual outgoings budgets and reconciliations in collaboration with auditors.
- Handle tenant billing for outgoings and operating expenses.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as an accounts officer, clerk, or trust accountant within a commercial or residential real estate environment, or a similar fast-paced industry.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation governing trust accounts in Queensland, particularly for commercial real estate transactions.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams, clients, and external parties.
- Proficiency in data entry and financial administration.
- Reliability and a professional demeanour with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
