Community Care Worker

HammondCare is seeking a Community Care Worker for a part-time, onsite role in Bowral.

Join an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the lives of older individuals. HammondCare Home Care is currently recruiting Carers to join our team in the South West Sydney region.

About the Role This position involves providing essential, practical care to older people, enabling them to maintain independence within their own residences and significantly improving their quality of life. Responsibilities extend beyond daily care to include fostering meaningful connections and offering companionship. Travel to clients' homes is required, utilising your own vehicle. Remuneration includes $0.99 per kilometre travelled, plus paid travel time.

What We Offer

  • Hourly rate of $31.95 to $35.44, plus $0.99/km travel reimbursement, paid travel time, and a mobile phone.

About You

  • You are a personable individual who demonstrates patience and a solutions-focused approach.
  • You possess prior experience in aged or community care, or are keen to commence a career in aged care.
  • You hold a valid Driver's Licence and have access to an insured, reliable car (minimum Third Party Property Insurance).
  • Ideally, you hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. Assistance is available for those seeking to obtain this qualification.
  • You are adaptable to the evolving needs of home care clients.
