Community Support Assistant - Doncaster

VMCH is seeking a Community Support Assistant to join our team in Doncaster. This is a casual role requiring onsite work.

About the Role

In this rewarding position, you will provide personalised, person-centred care to empower clients to live independently and achieve their best quality of life.

  • Flexible casual hours are available.
  • Availability is required for at least three weekdays between 7am and 6pm.
  • You will support clients in Doncaster and the surrounding community.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
  • Provide companionship and social support.
  • Help with meal preparation and light household tasks.
  • Transport clients to appointments and outings.

About You

You possess a genuine passion for supporting older members of the community and take pride in creating meaningful, positive experiences in their daily lives. You have strong communication skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships and support clients in maintaining their independence and achieving their personal goals.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care, Home and Community, or Disability) or equivalent.
  • A current driver’s licence and access to a fully insured (comprehensive), registered vehicle for travel between client homes.
  • Willingness to obtain a First Aid certificate, CPR certificate, and Police check.
  • Genuine respect for the dignity and independence of older people.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a community setting.
  • Availability across a flexible casual roster, including some early mornings.
