Civil Services Group Pty Ltd is currently involved in Civil Roadworks Projects for the Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program. Further opportunities are anticipated between Gin Gin and Rockhampton. We are seeking experienced Contract Administrators and Contract Administrators Representatives interested in becoming Pre-Qualified with TMR under CSG (formerly Category B01, now CA01, CA02 & CA03). This pre-qualification process is free, and guidance will be provided. This opportunity is also open to individuals already pre-qualified under other companies who wish to expand their project options.
These roles are responsible for managing assigned major road infrastructure construction contracts, ensuring their completion to specified standards, within budget, and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the establishment and administration of major government road infrastructure contracts, ensuring appropriate quality standards and timely, cost-effective completion.
- Perform the role of Administrator (Superintendent), Administrator’s Representative, or Principal’s Representative Agent in contract administration and surveillance, adhering to Department of Transport and Main Roads Standards, Contract Procedures, and General Conditions of Contract.
- Liaise with project, technical, and operational staff to coordinate external service authorities, community industry groups, other agencies, and Local Government authorities affected by the works.
- Manage and coordinate all phases of contract administration for road infrastructure projects, focusing on quality, safety, and environmental aspects. Contribute to the development and documentation of quality management procedures to facilitate effective project delivery.
- Manage teams of engineers, technical staff, and external advisors in infrastructure project delivery, monitoring and reviewing all technical project aspects and ensuring adherence to standards for project objectives.
- Utilise appropriate monitoring and reporting mechanisms for all phases of infrastructure program project delivery, supporting continuous improvement.
- Provide reports and briefing notes on various issues, including work status, expenditure against program/project, state road network conditions, and major incidents.
- Monitor expenditure, including contract payments, contract administration costs, and Principal's materials/services, against project budgets, forecasting expenditure trends and cash flow requirements.
Mandatory Experience:
- A minimum of six years of experience supporting the administration of road infrastructure contracts.
- A minimum of seven years of post-graduate experience in any combination of contract administration, construction, maintenance, or design of road infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience in all contract administration aspects of road infrastructure construction, including asphalt and granular pavements, pavement surfacing, road furniture, bridges, earthworks, drainage, electrical, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), landscape and urban design, and retaining walls.
- Demonstrated sound consultation, conflict avoidance, and group facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and supervising projects according to Transport and Main Roads policies, standards, and specifications.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Possession of a degree in Civil Engineering with RPEQ Accreditation.
Project Details:
- Sites are located between Gin Gin and Rockhampton.
- Projects typically have a duration of 1-2 years, with potential for extensions or transition to other TMR or Council projects.
- Proposed hours are normally 40 per week, typically dayshift. Night or weekend shifts may be required for specific works and will be discussed and agreed upon prior to each assignment. Shift requirements are usually cycled alternately for relief.
Requirements:
- Must possess a driver's licence and have access to own transport for travel to and from home to site.
- Must have a mobile phone.
- An own laptop will be an advantage.
Location Preference:
- Preference will be given to individuals currently residing in Queensland and/or willing to relocate to a regional coastal town. DIDO and FIFO arrangements will be considered.
- Strictly current Australian Residents only due to client Quality Standard requirements.
