TasNetworks is seeking a Contractor Works Delivery Manager to join the Contract Performance and Delivery team. This operational role involves overseeing a statewide portfolio of contractor-delivered works packages and projects across the electricity network. The primary objective is to ensure all works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual obligations. This position also requires cultivating strong relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders, and contributing to the enhancement of frameworks and systems for managing contractor programs to support TasNetworks' operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage contractor-delivered works across a statewide portfolio.
  • Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to contract requirements, including the management of variations.
  • Monitor contractor performance concerning delivery, quality, and commercial outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors to facilitate work planning and resolve delivery issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate contractor programs.
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure works align with TasNetworks standards.
  • Utilise systems such as SAP, The Podium, iAuditor, and Microsoft Office for delivery and performance tracking.

About You:

You are a practical and experienced leader with substantial knowledge of electricity network construction and contractor program delivery. You possess an understanding of how large contractor work programs function and are confident in managing commercial outcomes, contractor relationships, and operational delivery.

You will bring:

  • Qualifications in project or construction management, with a trade background as an overhead lineworker or electrician within an ESI environment.
  • Experience managing large contractor programs of work in the electricity supply industry.
  • Strong commercial understanding of contracts and variations.
  • Sound knowledge of transmission and distribution network construction and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with contractors and internal stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role supporting the delivery of critical electricity infrastructure across Tasmania, integrating technical expertise, contractor management, and strong operational leadership.

What's on Offer:

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based out of either our Cambridge or Rocherlea depot.

Base Salary: From $110,000 per annum (plus super), with the total package to be negotiated with the preferred candidate based on skills and experience.

TasNetworks is committed to powering a bright future for its people, community, and customers, offering a supportive work environment where safety is paramount. As an "employer of choice," TasNetworks provides excellent employee benefits, including:

  • Great professional development opportunities, supported by a contemporary OD Team.
  • Flexible work arrangements.
  • An electricity discount of 16.66% (following the probationary period).
  • Paid volunteer days.
  • Free onsite parking.
  • Onsite gyms, plus an annual health and wellbeing rebate.
  • Personalised career pathways and development opportunities.
  • All necessary equipment for the role.
