Country Road Group - Tax & Treasury Analyst
Country Road Group Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Tax & Treasury Analyst to join their team in Melbourne VIC. This is an onsite role.
As the Tax & Treasury Analyst, you will be instrumental in assisting the Tax & Treasury Manager to ensure accurate tax compliance, efficient treasury operations, and robust financial risk management throughout the organisation. In a fast-paced retail setting, your responsibilities will include the daily execution of treasury activities, contributing to statutory tax obligations across various jurisdictions, and providing valuable insights into cash flow and financial risk. This presents a significant opportunity to contribute to the financial stability of a growing company while enhancing your expertise in both tax and treasury functions.
How You Will Contribute
- Support tax compliance and reporting, encompassing direct and indirect tax obligations, tax disclosures, transfer pricing, and regulatory lodgements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee day-to-day treasury operations, including cash positioning, bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and treasury reporting.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposures and assist with hedging activities, documentation, and risk analysis.
- Contribute to financial risk management through liquidity monitoring, interest rate exposure analysis, policy compliance, and scenario modelling.
- Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and commercial teams to offer insights into working capital, inventory, and cash flow performance.
- Uphold strong governance and control frameworks, including treasury policies, audit support, compliance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a safe and compliant workplace by adhering to WHS policies, identifying risks, and fostering a culture of health, safety, and wellbeing.
Capabilities We Value
- CA/CPA Qualified
- 2-5 years of experience in Tax, Treasury, or Financial Accounting
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Financial Modelling
- Experience in the Retail, FMCG, or Consumer industry
- Previous experience working in a multi-currency environment
- Understanding of AASB/IFRS tax effect accounting
- Attention to detail and analytical capability, coupled with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
