Stantec Australia Pty Ltd's finance department in Melbourne is seeking a capable and customer-focused Credit Controller for a permanent position. This role is integral to supporting healthy cash flow through effective accounts receivable and credit control functions.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to manage outstanding accounts, resolve queries, and maintain precise financial records. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the monitoring of debtor ageing and following up on overdue invoices via email and phone.
- Preparing and dispatching client statements and reminder letters.
- Maintaining accurate records of client communications and transactions.
- Managing daily receipting and banking activities, ensuring all customer payments are accurately recorded, reconciled, and deposited promptly.
- Supporting monthly debtor meetings with Business Centre Leads and Project Managers.
- Assisting with client account reconciliations and processing receipts as needed.
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure prompt query resolution.
- Contributing to reporting and month-end processes.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- 3 to 5 years of previous experience in accounts receivable or credit control.
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Oracle financial modules and MS Excel.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
