MIEPOL Pty Ltd, a recognised service provider to the Civil/Construction Industry with expertise in Civil Construction Infrastructure, Traffic Management, and Labour Hire Services, seeks experienced Design Engineers to join its expanding team. This is a full-time, onsite position based in West Footscray.

About the Role

Reporting to the Design Engineering Coordinator, you will efficiently assist with Miepol Designs for contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scope, investigate, define, and prepare project plans for designs and investigations.
• Manage the preparation of Civil Design Plans, specifications, and estimates for various civil design projects.
• Review all design documentation for accuracy, suitability for construction, and compliance with relevant standards.
• Ensure documentation and plans are prepared in accordance with standards, legislation, and Miepol's quality processes.
• Undertake technical investigations and prepare reports on civil design projects.
• Investigate, document, and prepare applications for statutory approvals.
• Liaise effectively with Public Utilities, Authorities, Clients, and other stakeholders regarding engineering matters and provide timely responses.
• Understand contract requirements for clients.
• Maintain knowledge of policies, current best practices, and challenges in Civil engineering design.
• Undertake inspections of construction works and post-construction reviews to confirm compliance with design documentation and recommend improvements, as required.
• Assist the Senior Design Coordinator in ensuring project design work remains within budget, is profitable, and meets contractual requirements.
• Provide assistance to other Engineering design staff to achieve effective teamwork, staff motivation, and customer focus.
• Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through continuous learning and professional development.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships between Miepol, clients, and stakeholders, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Understand HSEQ principles and comply with all Miepol HSEQ policies and procedures.
• Attend client meetings relevant to your responsibilities, as required.
• Act responsibly and serve as a role model by displaying behaviour aligned with Miepol company values.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Civil engineering design and construction, with a strong emphasis on civil infrastructure design.
• Demonstrated project management experience coordinating consultants to deliver multiple projects meeting strict deadlines, budgets, and identified outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience investigating, analysing, and resolving complex design problems.
• Proficiency in Civil infrastructure design and project management software, including AutoCad Civil 3D (mandatory) and Microsoft Project.
• High-level written, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Construction White Card.
• Valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
