MiTek is recruiting a Design Engineer to join its Queensland team. This role presents a valuable chance for an engineer early in their career to gain practical experience in structural design while collaborating with clients throughout the construction sector.

The position involves delivering technical and design assistance, conducting site assessments, and contributing to the expansion of MiTek product adoption. Candidates with approximately 1+ years of experience are welcome, as are those who possess the appropriate mindset and capacity for learning and advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver structural designs and technical support for MiTek products.
• Prepare designs for fabricators, architects, and engineers.
• Conduct site inspections (roof trusses, wall frames, floor systems) and produce reports.
• Provide software and technical support to customers.
• Establish and maintain robust client relationships.
• Assist in the delivery of training to customer teams.

Candidate Profile:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
• An interest in structural or timber engineering, with a focus on residential/light commercial applications.
• Familiarity with Australian standards, including AS/NZS 1170, AS1720, AS1684, AS4440, and AS4055, is desirable.
• Experience with AutoCAD or comparable drafting software.
• Possession of a Construction White Card, or a willingness to obtain one.
• An interest in pursuing Engineers Australia accreditation, such as NER/CPEng.
