Job Description
- Ensure and maintain all safety requirements as per company policy.
- Ensure and maintain consistent quality standards throughout the DGS refurbishment and testing process.
- Maintain all necessary calibration and certification of tools and equipment within the DGS service scope.
- Review, approve, and manage concessions for Inspection reports.
- Review designs and place orders for new test equipment.
- Train the team on face calibration software.
- Provide guidance on seal assembly issues.
- Consult and provide technical guidance for DGS test failures.
- Review and approve test results.
- Operate DGS testing facilities and conduct virtual online tests with customers.
- Provide customers with technical support and solutions.
- Review and raise GCN for drawing upgrading.
- Train the team on general principles of testing and DGS operation.
- Provide technical review of GA drawings for interchangeability.
- Present the product range and its technical attributes/benefits to the team.
- Liaise with various technical departments to provide technical solutions/advice.
- Establish machining operations where applicable.
- Provide site support activities during emergency/critical requirements with shortages.
- Support DGS CI initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or University degree in Engineering or a relevant vocational technical qualification.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a proactive multinational & multicultural environment.
- ERP knowledge in SAP.
- Lapping and polishing knowledge.
- Excellent People management skills.
- Good technical knowledge of the John Crane product portfolio.
