GenU is seeking a dedicated and proactive Disability Services Team Leader, also referred to as a Service Delivery Leader. This role requires a leader who is hands-on and excels in a dynamic environment.

This is a frontline leadership position focused on supporting individuals with disabilities in both accommodation and community settings. You will be responsible for service delivery, which includes supporting individuals with diverse needs, some of whom may have complex care requirements. Additionally, you will mentor your team and cultivate strong relationships with the people GenU supports.

This is an opportunity for those who enjoy being actively involved and contributing to team development, offering a chance to make a significant impact.

GenU operates as a profit-for-purpose organisation, directing its profits back into programs designed to achieve genuine social impact. Our services span disability and aged care support, alongside community-focused initiatives, all aimed at enabling individuals to live their best lives.

What you will do:

As a Disability Services Team Leader (Service Delivery Leader), your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading person-centred support across accommodation and community programs.
  • Providing hands-on leadership, coaching, and support to your team.
  • Supporting individuals with complex needs, including those requiring Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Building relationships with clients, their families, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with NDIS standards, safeguarding principles, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Participating in an after-hours on-call roster, approximately every three weeks.

This role presents a valuable opportunity to step into a leadership position or to further develop your existing experience within a supportive framework.

What you will bring:

  • Experience within disability, aged care, or community services.
  • A commitment to supporting individuals and achieving person-centred outcomes.
  • The ability, or readiness, to lead, support, and mentor teams.
  • Experience with complex needs or behaviours of concern is desirable.
  • A Certificate IV in Disability, or a similar qualification, is preferred but not essential.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your understanding of NDIS standards.

An NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate will be required; guidance will be provided through this process.

Why you’ll love working at genU:

We embrace diversity in all its forms, including differences in disability, culture, gender, age, sexuality, and religion, and we celebrate the unique perspectives and experiences that each team member brings.

Benefits include:

  • Salary packaging, allowing for up to $15,900 in tax-free benefits, plus meal and entertainment benefits.
  • Purchased leave options, providing the ability to acquire additional annual leave to support work-life balance and flexibility.
  • Discounts offering savings at over 450 retailers, including Coles, Woolworths, and JB Hi-Fi.
  • A 25% fee reduction for undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Torrens University.
  • Wellbeing support through 24/7 access to a holistic employee assistance program.
  • A referral bonus for successfully recommending new team members.
