Disability Support Worker Balanced Care Disability Service and Support Salisbury, SA

Balanced Care Disability Service and Support is looking for a passionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to join their team in Salisbury, SA. This is a casual, onsite role with a salary range of $36 – $45 per hour.

About the Role This position involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in living independently and achieving their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Accompanying clients to appointments, social events, and community outings.
• Promoting client independence and encouraging participation in recreational and educational activities.
• Developing and implementing personalised support plans tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences.
• Maintaining detailed records and providing regular updates to clients and their support networks.
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the wellbeing of clients and staff.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a disability support or community services role, preferably in a similar setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to empowering them to live fulfilling lives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide empathetic, person-centred care.
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs and preferences of clients.
• A current first aid certificate.
• A valid driver's license.
• Completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification.
