We provide support to children, young people, families, individuals with disability, older adults, and those experiencing mental illness, homelessness, or seeking refuge. About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker on Norfolk Island, you will contribute to the positive impact on individuals accessing our Lifestyles Support services. Norfolk Island is situated in the South Pacific Ocean.

Casual positions are available, requiring support for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in their homes and the community. This will involve travel between clients and working short, split shifts. Availability for a range of shifts, including before and after school, is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to person-centred support plans and behaviour support plans with respect.
• Engage in community activities and assist clients with daily living tasks.
• Monitor and document individual progress through comprehensive record keeping.
• Foster meaningful, positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Develop positive connections with the individuals we support and their families.

Skills & Experience

• An unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
• A commitment to working a variety of shifts based on client needs.
• Demonstrated capability in using basic technology and software on mobile and desktop devices.
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (required before employment commences).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Successful candidates will be subject to probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check where applicable.
