About the Role Joining our Collie team on a casual basis, you will provide support to individuals with disability accessing our in-home and community access services. We are seeking candidates who can establish positive relationships quickly and are enthusiastic about offering active support and engaging with the diverse interests of the people we support. This engagement may include activities such as gaming or swimming.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for working with people with disability and confidence in managing behaviours of concern, along with providing personal care if required. A commitment to working a variety of shifts, including shorter 3-4 hour durations, is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care.
  • Adhere to person-centred support and behaviour plans.
  • Assist clients in achieving their goals through meaningful activities.
  • Maintain detailed records.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients, their families, and colleagues.
  • Champion client choice and control.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with people with disability.
  • Previous experience with behaviour support plans.
  • Experience with personal care and manual handling.
  • Proficient computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence.
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Successful candidates will be required to complete probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check, and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
