About the Role: We are looking for experienced, compassionate, and proactive Disability Support Workers to provide support to an NDIS participant with complex requirements. This position involves close collaboration with the family and allied health professionals to execute support plans encompassing safety, communication, and mobility strategies.

Support needs may involve:

• Assisting with daily routines, including personal care and mealtimes.
• Implementing proactive and responsive strategies.
• Providing supervision and ensuring environmental safety.
• Administering support in accordance with manual handling and stoma protocols, with appropriate training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work across both home and community environments.
• Maintain a calm, trauma-informed, and person-centred approach consistently.
• Accurately complete shift reports and data records.
• Ensure safety during transport and community engagement.
• Engage the participant in therapeutic play, music, sensory activities, and established routines.
• Promote independence and emotional development through structured activities.

About You:

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Disability, Individual Support, or an equivalent qualification (essential).
• Experience supporting children and adults.
• Willingness to undergo training in specific protocols by staff and parents.
• Excellent communication and observational skills.
• Possession of a current First Aid certificate, CPR certification, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check (WWCC), and a valid driver’s licence.
