Disability Support Worker - Nambucca Heads, NSW - Part Time

Kirinari Community Services is seeking applications for Part Time Disability Support Worker roles in Nambucca Heads, NSW. This is an opportunity with a recognised, expanding support service. Both experienced and entry-level candidates are invited to join the team.

Role Overview

Disability Support Workers provide quality care and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. Responsibilities include assisting, supporting, and directing care for customers in group homes, day programs, vocational training, and drop-in support within customer homes. Support will also extend to external settings such as shopping centres, doctor's surgeries, and recreational areas, including accompanying customers to community access visits and appointments. Customers typically live with intellectual or behavioural disabilities, and many also have physical and/or psychiatric disabilities.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and school holidays with significant availability.
  • Resilience, confidence, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships.
  • Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement.
  • Ability to use computers and learn various software/programs.
  • A smart phone.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • The right to live and work in Australia.
