Disability Support Worker - Nurturing Independence

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Disability Support Worker for our team in Adelaide, SA. This onsite, casual role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, community engagement, and personal aspirations, all while cultivating their independence and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, domestic assistance, and support for community access.
  • Assist clients in reaching their personal objectives and fostering independence.
  • Facilitate transport to appointments, programs, or leisure pursuits.
  • Maintain precise progress notes and documentation.
  • Engage in effective communication with clients, their families, and the support network.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability), Community Services, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience as a support worker is preferred.
  • Attentive approach to client care.
  • Completion of manual handling training.
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • A valid driver's license and a dependable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Verification of your right to work in Australia.

Remuneration and Conditions:

  • Hourly Rate: $37 – $55 per hour
  • Work Type: Casual
  • Location: Onsite, Adelaide SA
