Kirinari Community Services, a recognised and expanding essential support service, seeks experienced Disability Support Workers for casual positions in Wangaratta. We are a reputable organisation providing essential care and high-quality support to enhance the lives of our customers. Kirinari employs over 1300 staff across VIC, NSW, and TAS.

About the Position

Disability Support Workers assist individuals with their daily living, providing 24/7 care in supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes). The role ensures a safe and nurturing environment for customers.

Responsibilities include providing direct support for domestic and personal care, and assisting customers to engage positively with the community. Broad availability to work within a 24/7 environment, including weekends and overnight shifts, is a requirement, with generous penalties applying. Flexible start dates are available.

About You

• Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends, and public/school holidays with significant availability.
• Familiarity with personal care, diabetes management, and supporting customers in crisis is essential.
• Resilience, confidence, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships.
• Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement.
• Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs.
• Possession of a Smart Phone.
• Current Driver's Licence.
