This role offers an immediate start and stable employment within a supportive and collaborative team, with a commitment to ongoing training and career development supported by strong leadership.

The Role

This is a technical, hands-on opportunity for a Dual Trade Engineer to join our dedicated team. This position is for night shift, working 3-4 days per week, from 7:00 pm to 7:10 am.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, operation, fault finding, and repair of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Installation, set up, relocation, modification, and/or testing of new equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and fixing mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
  • Coaching and mentoring the production team to increase their knowledge of fault identification and troubleshooting.
  • Responding to breakdowns and prioritising accordingly in conjunction with the shift supervisor.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and equipment audits.
  • Proactively working to reduce downtime, waste, and improve equipment reliability.
  • Supporting and participating in maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with safety, WHS policies, GMP requirements, and site procedures.
  • Recording keeping via our CMMS MEX system, specifically for breakdowns and PM completions.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Possesses a mechanical trade (fitter) certificate with an electrical licence (Essential).
  • Has previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing facility, ideally in a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment.
  • Understands manufacturing machinery, reliability systems, and engineering standards.
  • Demonstrates strong electrical aptitude with excellent fault finding and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Has strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with different departments and external contractors.
  • Possesses strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Can work in cleanroom and workshop environments.
  • Is familiar with safety and compliance regulations in an industrial setting.
  • Has demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Is able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Has the physical capability to stand, climb, squat, kneel, stand for extended periods, and perform manual handling tasks.
