Electrical Engineer - Brisbane
Hatch Pty Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its team in Brisbane, QLD. This is a full-time, onsite position.

The Project Delivery Group (PDG) is a team dedicated to world-class project delivery. This group has expertise in sustainable studies, asset building and operations, and industry efficiencies, utilising unparalleled methodologies, governance, and systems.
As an Electrical Engineer at Hatch, you will contribute to the development of electrical engineering designs and studies across the full asset lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning. You will work with experienced technical specialists and project leaders, applying your engineering capability to real-world challenges and building technical depth. The role involves delivering practical, high-quality solutions that enhance operational performance, improve safety, and support long-term asset sustainability for clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing discipline-specific designs, calculations, studies, and technical documentation for concept, feasibility, and detailed design stages.
- Supporting and executing detailed engineering for procurement, supply, and construction activities.
- Contributing to capital cost estimates and project schedules.
- Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated engineering outcomes.
- Participating in formal technical reviews and engineering assurance processes.
- Providing on-site technical support during construction, commissioning, and early operations.
About You: You possess a degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of professional experience, with CPEng (or working towards it) being ideal. Your experience should be within mining, energy, infrastructure, or similar heavy industry environments, providing a strong understanding of project delivery and operational contexts. You have experience preparing high-quality technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and engineering deliverables, and have been involved in the planning, investigation, and/or support of construction or operational assets. Your technical capabilities include performing electrical system studies such as load flow, arc flash, and protection grading using tools like SKM PTW, ETAP, or PowerCAD. You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary environments. Exposure to field instrumentation or industrial control systems will be highly regarded, along with a proactive approach to learning and contributing to team success.
