Chandler Macleod is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers for full-time, onsite roles in Melbourne VIC.

The Opportunity We are partnering with multiple leading clients engaged in high-profile data centre and critical infrastructure projects. Due to ongoing expansion, we have numerous positions available. These roles focus on data centres, with additional opportunities in renewable energy, substations, transport infrastructure, defence, and aviation.

These positions offer the chance to contribute to mission-critical, large-scale developments. You will gain exposure to technically complex electrical systems within fast-paced project environments. We are keen to connect with individuals experienced in HV systems, power distribution, or major infrastructure projects. Engineers from adjacent sectors seeking to transition into data centres or other sectors are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and delivery of electrical systems for data centres and other major infrastructure projects.
• Development and review of HV/LV power distribution, protection schemes, and redundancy systems.
• Design and support for substation and switchyard projects, including HV equipment, layouts, and system integration.
• Contribution across all project phases: feasibility, design, delivery, and commissioning.
• Support for mission-critical environments, ensuring reliability, resilience, and uptime requirements.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in engineering and construction.
• Engagement with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.

About You

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
• Experience working on data centres or other large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of HV systems, power distribution, and electrical design.
• Background in sectors such as:
• Data Centres (highly regarded)
• Substations / Grid Connections
• Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind, BESS)
• Transport, Defence, or Aviation infrastructure
• Experience with relevant tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, DigSILENT, AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute within project teams.

Highly Regarded

• Experience in data centre or mission-critical environments.
• Exposure to commissioning and energisation phases.
• Experience across adjacent sectors such as renewables, substations, transport, defence, or aviation infrastructure.
• Understanding of redundancy (N+1, 2N) and resilience design principles.
• Chartered status (or working towards it).
