Electrical Engineer
Smith & Co is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. This full-time, onsite role is based in Murarrie.
This established electrical contractor, with a notable history in commercial and industrial projects, requires an individual to contribute significantly to the delivery of practical, compliant, and innovative electrical designs that ensure successful project completion. The role involves collaboration with Project Managers, Estimators, and Construction teams, spanning the entire project lifecycle from tender to final delivery. A key focus will be on ensuring designs are constructible, commercially sound, and delivered within agreed timelines. Responsibilities include:
- Producing electrical calculations.
- Creating CAD drawings and design documentation.
- Assisting with tender reviews.
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards during project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed electrical designs for commercial and industrial construction ventures.
- Generate calculations, single-line diagrams, layouts, CAD drawings, and 3D models.
- Examine project documentation and verify adherence to Australian Standards.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams during the construction phase.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to achieve project deadlines.
What You'll Bring:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design within the construction sector.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and AutoCAD/Revit or comparable platforms.
- A White Card, Australian Driver’s Licence, and unrestricted Australian working rights.
- RPEQ registration, or a willingness to pursue it, will be viewed favourably.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 + Superannuation (dependent on experience).
