Electrical Engineering Technician
Crossmuller is an Australian-owned private company seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician for their Electrical team. This full-time, onsite role is based at the Somersby, NSW manufacturing facility.

The Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities, and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.
About the role: Reporting to the Electrical Workshop Coordinator, you will work with state-of-the-art equipment and be responsible for:
- Assisting with the installation, commissioning, testing, monitoring, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations.
- Supporting and assisting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in the design and development of electrical systems.
- Performing electrical installation works in accordance with site and Australian standards, where required.
- Writing service reports for electrical systems.
- Collecting data, conducting tests, and reporting on test results as directed by the Electrical Workshop Manager.
- Assisting in estimating material costs and quantities for electrical work in industrial projects.
As Crossmuller continues to grow operations, this role will also involve equipment upgrades, installation of new machinery, and decommissioning of old machinery.
This is a full-time position with a compressed working week from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Salary: $79,499 – $85,000 per year.
About you: To be considered for this position, you will have:
- An Electrical Engineering Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in machine troubleshooting, problem-solving, and fault finding.
- Previous electrical experience.
- The ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques.
- Leadership and supervisory experience.
- Experience working in a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Project management skills.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
