Electronics Engineering Technician
CubePilot Global is looking for an experienced Electronics Engineering Technician to join our onsite team in Norlane. This full-time position offers a salary of $80,000 – $90,000 per year.
This is a hands-on senior technical role, crucial to the design, testing, and production of next-generation avionics systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in embedded electronics, avionics manufacturing, and production engineering.
About the Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include the development, testing, and production support of advanced navigation and flight control systems. You will collaborate with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure products consistently meet high standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, development, and testing of advanced STM32-based embedded navigation systems.
- Development of electronic schematics and support for PCB design.
- Design and fabrication of production test fixtures, automated test equipment, and manufacturing test jigs.
- RF circuit development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Production planning and engineering support for high-volume electronics manufacturing.
- Liaison with Asian manufacturing partners and component suppliers to ensure product quality and production efficiency.
- Mechanical design of test fixtures and production tooling using CAD software.
- Integration, testing, and validation of avionics hardware and flight control systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production.
- Assist with product verification, fault analysis, and root cause investigations.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Applicants must demonstrate:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience working with STM32-based embedded electronics and advanced navigation systems.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in electronic schematic design.
- Experience in RF engineering, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing electronic production test systems and test jigs.
- Proven experience within the avionics or aerospace industry.
- Demonstrated experience working with Asian supply chains and electronics manufacturing partners.
- Experience in production planning and engineering support for electronics manufacturing.
- Advanced proficiency with:
- Altium Designer
- AutoCAD
- SolidWorks
- Extensive knowledge of the ArduPilot ecosystem.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
Desirable:
- Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with manufacturing partners and suppliers.
- Experience with unmanned aerial systems (UAS) or autonomous systems.
- Familiarity with automated production testing.
- Experience with EMC/EMI design and compliance testing.
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing processes including SMT assembly.
- Experience working within ISO-certified manufacturing environments.
