Engineer / Graduate Engineer

Toowoomba Regional Council is offering a permanent, full-time position for Engineers and Graduate Engineers in Pittsworth. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of your community.

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Salary: $82,147.09 - $102,867.25 gross per annum. Commencement salary will depend on the applicant's knowledge and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical, consultative support and advice for minor projects and activities associated with civil construction and maintenance programs, aligning with Council objectives.
  • Undertake various functions within Engineering Services related to civil construction and maintenance projects and/or programs.
  • Perform moderately complex functions for civil construction and maintenance projects and/or programs. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing specifications, assisting with project management, and preparing project documentation.
  • Compile, analyse, and present information pertinent to civil construction and maintenance projects and/or programs.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil) from an Australian university (or equivalent), recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain this prior to commencement.
  • A current ‘C’ Class Driver Licence.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour of Teamwork.

About Construction & Maintenance South: The Construction and Maintenance South Branch, part of the Infrastructure Services Group (ISG), is responsible for the development and maintenance of community infrastructure. This includes stormwater drainage/culverts, footpaths/cycleways, and road and bridge assets. The branch's primary objective is to ensure these asset classes are developed and maintained in a coordinated and integrated manner, driving capital and operational works projects across the Darling Downs.
