Experienced Support Worker (Casual)

Hunter Ability Support is seeking an experienced Support Worker for an immediate start in Chisholm. This casual, onsite position offers a pay rate of $40 – $60 per hour.

About the Role: This position involves empowering individuals to live with dignity and independence within their homes. You will be providing high-level care and consistency to a participant.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene.
• Providing bowel care, including enemas.
• Supporting mobility, which requires experience with hoists.
• Performing daily tasks such as cleaning.
• Promoting independence, emotional wellbeing, and social inclusion.

Required Shifts Weekly:

• Mondays: 5:45pm - 7:45pm
• Tuesdays: 5:45pm - 7:45pm
• Wednesdays: 6am - 8am or 7am - 9am (dependent on participant attending school)
• Thursdays: 6am - 8am or 7am - 9am (dependent on participant attending school)
• Fridays: 6am - 8am or 7am - 9am (dependent on participant attending school) & 5:45pm - 7:45pm
• Saturdays & Sundays: 7am - 9am & 5:45pm - 7:45pm (bi-weekly)
• Additional daytime shifts may be available for the right Support Worker.

To be Successful, You Must:

• Be available for the specified shifts each week.
• Not smoke or vape, due to the participant’s medical condition.
• Have experience with hoists and bowel care.
• Hold a valid Driver’s Licence.
• Hold a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or be willing to obtain them.
• Be kind, dependable, and passionate about helping others.
