Finance & Administration Officer
D&L Building Services Pty Ltd is seeking a capable and highly organised Finance & Administration Officer to join their team in Canning Vale. This part-time, hybrid role offers a salary of $30 – $40 per hour and involves supporting the company's daily finance, administration, and operations functions.
This is a varied position, requiring close collaboration with the General Manager, other Senior Management, and on-site and project teams. The successful candidate will be confident working across finance, administration, document control, recordkeeping, and general business support. You will be expected to take ownership of your tasks, manage priorities, and assist with both routine finance functions (AP and AR) and ad hoc administration tasks. Australian citizenship is required for this position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the General Manager with finance, administration, and operational tasks.
- Assisting with routine Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
- Assisting with reconciliation preparation.
- Maintaining accurate electronic filing systems in SharePoint.
- Document management control.
- Supporting process improvement and assisting with the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Preparing, formatting, and updating reports, registers, spreadsheets, and business documents.
- Reviewing tickets, licenses, and qualification validity.
- Assisting with other compliance administration and general business records.
- Providing general office and administration support as required.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks.
- Previous 1-2 years of experience working in a similar role or industry.
- Proven experience using Xero or similar software.
- Confidence working with technology, cloud-based systems, and electronic filing.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- A willingness to assist across different areas of the business when required.
Previous experience in the construction industry will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
