Finance Analyst Freo Group Hope Valley
Freo Group is seeking a Finance Analyst to join its Finance team at the Corporate Head Office. This full-time, hybrid role operates Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week. The position reports to the Financial Controller and offers rewarding work and pay.

The Opportunity
This role is for a highly capable and commercially astute Finance Analyst who is confident operating beyond traditional reporting. It requires a strong technical foundation, sound commercial judgement, and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights for business decision-making. The successful candidate will partner with operational leaders to understand business performance, identify key financial drivers, and provide clear analysis to support improved outcomes. The position suits a proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused individual who can build trusted relationships, influence through insight, and contribute to process improvement within the finance function.
What You'll Bring
- Strong financial discipline and analytical capability.
- Confidence to engage with stakeholders across the business.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is highly regarded.
- Experience in corporate accounting, management accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
- Strong capability in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP or reporting systems.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to deliver within deadlines.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with sound commercial judgement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accurate financial and management accounting.
- Partner with the business to improve financial performance and decision-making.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
- Provide meaningful analysis on financial results, trends, and variances.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Partner with branch and operational leaders to understand performance drivers.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Assist with statutory, regulatory, audit, and group reporting requirements.
- Maintain balance sheet integrity through reconciliations and review.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting, and business partnering outcomes.
