Finance Analytics Manager - Immediate Start
Michael Page is seeking a Finance Analytics Manager for a 6-month contract role, with potential for extension, within a growing Tech organisation in Melbourne. This onsite position requires an immediate commencement.
Our client is a well-established and expanding SaaS business known for its innovative approach and sector advancement. They are currently experiencing a period of exciting growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extract, validate, and analyse financial and operational data from multiple business systems to inform reporting and commercial decisions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards to deliver timely insights into financial performance, operational KPIs, and business trends.
- Produce accurate and insightful weekly, monthly, and ad hoc management reports for senior leaders.
- Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide meaningful financial analysis.
- Interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by automating reporting processes and reducing manual data preparation using Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of financial data through robust reconciliation and validation processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting by providing timely analysis and performance insights.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and business teams to enhance data quality, reporting capability, and financial visibility across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain reporting documentation, data definitions, and dashboard governance to support consistent decision-making.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and with a commercial focus.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to leverage data analytics and reporting technology.
Candidate Profile:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
- Experience with Power BI, including building and maintaining dashboards, is essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex financial data.
- Ability to work effectively in a temporary and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in relevant financial software and systems.
