Family Spirit Limited is seeking a part-time Finance Assistant for a 6-month engagement, commencing immediately. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, processing financial transactions, and addressing associated inquiries.

About the Role: Key responsibilities include performing accounts payable and receivable functions. This encompasses processing fortnightly carer payments, handling invoice processing, managing reimbursements, maintaining supplier details, executing supplier payments, responding to supplier queries, and overseeing the accounts inbox.
The role requires applying financial controls and policies to all transactions, identifying and escalating any discrepancies, maintaining records for assets and contracts, and ensuring compliance and confidentiality in all duties. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in your work, adhering to established procedures, exercising judgement within defined guidelines, contributing to team collaboration, managing stakeholder inquiries, and maintaining precise records.
About You: You will possess a Certificate III qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as finance or accounting, or demonstrate equivalent work experience.
Essential capabilities include the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, maintain a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy, communicate proficiently, and navigate multiple systems and software platforms. Experience with accounting software is required. Exposure to QuickBooks Online would be considered an advantage.
What is Offered: This is a part-time position for a duration of 6 months, requiring 45.6 hours per fortnight. The remuneration is aligned with SCHADS Level 3, supplemented by superannuation and salary packaging options. You will also benefit from a supportive team environment, alongside opportunities for training and professional development.
Requirements: The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain necessary pre-employment checks and certifications, including a National Police Check and Working with Children Check, as well as complete mandatory training as required.
