This position offers a transition from an aged care finance function or consulting role into a dynamic software company. You will integrate with the development team within a well-established, financially secure, and highly successful Australian enterprise that delivers ERP solutions tailored for the residential aged care sector.

The company, headquartered in Sydney, operates with a geographically dispersed workforce. This forward-thinking, high-energy organisation is assembling a dedicated product development team and seeks an aged-care finance subject matter expert. The goal is to ensure the accurate development of products, adherence to best practices, and the generation of correct data outputs.

You Will Have:

• Extensive experience within a finance function, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end finance system operations and the ability to identify discrepancies in outputs.
• A technical aptitude for thinking in terms of data structures, rules, conditions, and edge cases, with an inherent curiosity about system mechanics.
• Familiarity with the aged care sector, including knowledge of AN-ACC funding, means-tested fees, and claiming processes, and their impact on billing.
• A curious, collaborative, and self-directed approach with a strong desire to learn.

Role Responsibilities:

• Act as an embedded member of the build team, contributing to the definition of detailed requirements prior to development.
• Design and execute test scenarios, validating outputs, assumptions, and calculations.
• Document all decisions made throughout the process.
• Provide daily input, benefiting from the team's clear direction and domain knowledge, alongside senior oversight.
• Engage deeply with the project details daily, facilitating rapid validation, clarification, and answers for the development team to maintain their pace.
