Finance Business Partner - Fixed Term Contract
Gate Gourmet Services Pty Ltd is a global company seeking a full-time Finance Business Partner for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This onsite role is based in Mascot and includes free parking.

About the Role: Due to increased demand and company growth, Gate Gourmet is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A, this position is responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis and insight into operating expenses and labour within a complex, multi-site catering environment. The role involves close collaboration with operational leaders to understand performance, scrutinise cost drivers, and identify opportunities for efficiency and improved outcomes. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities to translate complex data into meaningful, actionable insights that drive business performance.
Key Focus Areas:
- Lead detailed, data-driven analysis of operating expenses and labour costs across multiple sites, identifying key drivers, trends, and performance gaps.
- Deliver high-quality, structured analysis that clearly articulates the drivers of financial results and areas requiring action.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve robust financial models and spreadsheets that are logical, transparent, and user-friendly.
- Ensure all outputs are accurate, well-structured, and easy to interpret.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for labour and OPEX, ensuring assumptions are well-tested, clearly documented, and aligned with operational realities.
- Manage the monthly flash process, providing regular updates on risks, opportunities, and expected outcomes.
- Act as a trusted finance partner to operational leaders across multiple catering sites, fostering strong relationships and delivering clear insights to support decision-making.
- Translate complex financial data.
- Proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities across labour and OPEX, ensuring early visibility and clear mitigation plans.
- Continuously improve reporting and analytical processes to enhance usability and impact.
What You'll Need:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- CA/CPA certification or equivalent.
- Experience working as an Accountant, preferably within large organisations.
- Previous management accounting experience, including profit and loss analysis and KPI analysis, within manufacturing, supply chain management, or the airline/airline catering industries would be preferred.
- Experience within a multi-site, operationally complex environment is preferred; experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or aviation-related industries is a plus, although not essential.
- Experience with SAP and HFM or similar financial systems is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including strong financial modelling capability, are required.
- The ability to present financial data and scenarios clearly in PowerPoint, tailored to different audiences.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and clear communication skills.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a results-driven approach.
