Finance Business Partner
Sharp & Carter Finance and Accounting is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Accountant for a full-time, onsite position in Melbourne VIC. This role offers a salary of $110,000 + superannuation + salary packaging + allowances.
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing finance team within a large and complex organisation. Reporting to a Head of Business Partnering, you will support operational leaders by providing financial insights, analysis, and decision-making support. This role is suitable for an ambitious finance professional aiming to develop business partnering skills and gain experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with business leaders to deliver meaningful financial insights and support decision-making.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting cycles.
- Delivering high-quality financial analysis, including business cases, costings, and investment evaluations.
- Supporting month-end processes, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Preparing clear and concise reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Monitoring balance sheet items such as accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements across finance and reporting.
- Building financial capability within the business by supporting non-finance stakeholders.
The candidate should be a proactive and curious finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and translating financial information into meaningful business insights.
Requirements include:
- CA or CPA qualification (completed or currently undertaking).
- 2–5 years' experience in a finance, commercial analyst, or business partnering role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in developing a career in finance business partnering.
- The ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- A proactive and positive approach to work.
Experience within healthcare, aged care, NDIS, community services, or other service-based organisations will be highly regarded but is not essential.
