This role offers strategic support for a business unit and requires taking control of processes. It involves significant Executive Leadership Team (ELT) exposure within a high-growth sector, focusing on commercial and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities. The package is up to $165,000, located in the Macedon Ranges.

The Challenge

You will collaborate with senior executives across the business unit to provide commercial decision support services, enabling superior strategic decisions. The position will also support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with strategic direction for growth, new product development, and investment initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading all aspects of the Finance, Accounting, and Commercial functions for the business unit, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, budgeting, and analysis that meets business needs and drives performance.
• Working with cross-functional teams to ensure business plans and forecasts are understood, owned, and reflect current business strategies.
• Preparing business cases and financial models for growth initiatives and investments.
• Producing P&L reporting and collaborating with the ELT and Heads of departments to lead and influence integrated, cross-functional monthly decision-making forums.
• Providing leadership support, direction, and technical expertise to stakeholders in all aspects of commercial management, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with the broader finance community to lead the development of common best practice processes and standardised working methods.
• Coordinating, managing, delivering, and presenting the business plan, including strategic initiative overlays.
• Supporting the ELT and planning team on numerous strategic growth and investment projects.
