Charterhouse has an opening for a Finance Manager in Brisbane QLD. This is a full-time, hybrid role.

This newly established Finance Manager position is with a well-established, owner-operated professional services group located in Brisbane CBD. The business operates within marketing, media, and consulting services, serving a diverse clientele of commercial and government organisations.

This role is designed for a finance professional seeking to expand their experience beyond traditional business services or to move from a more specialised accounting practice role. It is also suitable for individuals currently in owner-managed or service-based businesses who desire greater commercial insight, enhanced strategic input, and a defined trajectory towards senior leadership or general management.

Responsibilities:

• Assume complete responsibility for the finance function, encompassing reporting, compliance, payroll, accounts, and financial systems.
• A primary objective involves bringing bookkeeping and payroll operations in-house, enhancing internal controls, and improving the quality of financial insights for the leadership team.
• Engage in hands-on budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to enhance business performance and profitability.
• Work closely with a fractional CFO and a hands-on CEO, providing day-to-day financial leadership and contributing to strategic commercial decisions.

Requirements:

• Strong Xero experience is essential.
• CPA or CA qualification (or near completion) is expected.
• Solid experience in a similar finance role.

Desirable:

• Exposure to media, agency, or project-based environments will be highly regarded.

Remuneration and Benefits:

• Salary is circa $120,000–$140,000 inclusive of superannuation.
